Mr.
Zimmer has over twenty-eight years of healthcare consulting
and management experience emphasizing resource management. He
has worked with major for-profit hospital chains, teaching and
community based hospitals, and Big Five accounting firms. Spanning
every major hospital department, Mr. Zimmer has successfully
conducted consulting engagements improving processes throughout
the organizations of over 200 different clients. His areas of
expertise include non-clinical quality and operations improvement,
reengineering, cost accounting, benefits realization, and productivity
improvement.
Mr. Zimmer holds a Masters of Business Administration with concentration
in Finance from the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor
of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University.
He has spoken widely on resource management issues to a variety
of groups including Healthcare Financial Management Association
(HFMA), Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS),
and numerous state hospital associations. He has published articles
and is a contributing author with Aspen Publishers. A Diplomat
with the American College of Healthcare Executives, Mr. Zimmer
is also a Senior Member of both HIMSS and HFMA and an esteemed
recipient of both the HFMA’s Folmer Bronze and Reeves
Silver Merit Awards.
